تأثيراتها السلبية على الفرد والمجتمع حيث أنه يلتهم كل موارد التنمية ولا يترك
لها أثرا، وكذلك يوثر تأثيرا سلبيا في توفير فرص العمل، ويؤدي إلى زيادة معدلات
البطالة وخفض مستوى الأجور، وانخفاض الادخار والاستثمار، والتي يعقبها انخفاض معدل
النمو الاقتصادي في البلاد.
